This is a "solid" wine in terms of its complexity and constitution. With 60% Syrah and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, you wouldn't expect anything less. With a little hindsight, this vintage offers complexity. Fruit aromas and flavors still dominate with a sappy edge, but notes of menthol, chocolate, incense and spices bring freshness and charm. Powerful yet delicate.
